Leap into the Fashion Pond

In Top Frog, you and your friends are frog wranglers in the middle of a chaotic amphibian fashion show. Frogs of different styles, colors, and weights are leaping across the pond—and your job is to catch them, stack them smartly, and dress them up in hats to earn points. But it’s not that simple.

Only frogs of equal or lesser weight can go on top of others. You’re limited to three frog stacks. And every frog added changes your options—and the strategies of your opponents.

Timing matters. So does reading your rivals.

Simultaneous Action, Surprising Tension

Every round, players secretly select an Action Card. Will you leap, catch, rest, or bluff? Everyone reveals their choice at once, and that’s when things get messy.

If two players try to catch the same frog, neither gets it. Resting while someone else catches might earn you Gnat Tokens, which are worth points. But resting when no one else does? That’s just a waste.

There’s a delicious tension every round. Do you risk going for the best frog? Or play it safe? Bluffing and outsmarting your friends is half the fun.

Stack, Style, Score

The heart of Top Frog lies in the frog stacks.

Build a tower of stylish frogs, then crown it with a Hat to score points based on the frogs' fashion types. Each hat has its own scoring rule. Maybe it rewards matching styles. Maybe it values variety. Maybe it only works with “Fancy Frogs.”

Plan ahead, choose the right hat, and you’ll leap ahead on the scoreboard. Every game includes a random selection of hats, so no two games play the same. You'll need to adapt your strategy on the fly—just like a true frog.

Wild Frogs and Expansions

Included in the Deluxe Kickstarter Edition is the Wild Frog Mini Expansion, which adds a fifth frog fashion to the deck. Wild Frogs can act as any fashion type when scoring hats. They’re rare, versatile, and totally unpredictable.
