Terms of Use

1. About these Terms

Last updated: [October 2026]

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of gizmocrowd.com (the "Website"), our newsletter, and the services described below. The Website is published by Primecontent ltd, a company registered in Bulgaria with its registered office at Vitosha Blvd 4, 1000 Sofia, Bulgaria ("GizmoCrowd", "we", "us").

By using the Website, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Website. You must be at least 16 years old to subscribe to our newsletter or submit a campaign.

2. What GizmoCrowd Is

GizmoCrowd is an independent online publication covering Kickstarter and Indiegogo campaigns. We publish reviews, buying guides, creator interviews, news and a newsletter. GizmoCrowd is not a crowdfunding platform, a marketplace or a seller: pledges and purchases are made on third-party platforms, and we are not a party to any transaction between you and a creator.

How we select, review and label content is explained in our Editorial Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

3. Our Content and Crowdfunding Risk

Our reviews reflect the independent opinion of our editors at the time of publication, based on the information available to us. They are not financial, legal or purchasing advice, and they are not a guarantee of any product's quality, delivery or performance.

Crowdfunding involves real risk. Backing a campaign is not a purchase from a shop: products may be delayed, changed or never delivered. You are responsible for your own decision to back a campaign and for reviewing the platform's rules and the creator's information before you pledge.

We work to keep our content accurate and correct verified errors. When we become aware of serious problems with a campaign we have covered, we may add a warning to our articles, but we cannot monitor every campaign continuously.

4. Affiliate Links and Sponsored Content

Some articles contain affiliate links. If you back a campaign or buy a product through these links, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Some content is sponsored by creators. Both are disclosed in the articles concerned and explained in our Editorial Policy. We never take payment for reviews.

5. Using the Website

You may read, share and link to our content for personal, non-commercial use. You may quote short extracts with a link to the original article.

You may not:

  • republish, sell or redistribute our articles, images or videos in full or in substantial part without our written permission;

  • use the Website for unlawful, fraudulent or misleading purposes;

  • interfere with the Website's operation or security, or try to access parts of it you are not authorized to access;

  • send spam, malware or unsolicited advertising through the Website.

6. Newsletter and Accounts

You can subscribe to our newsletter with your e-mail address and unsubscribe at any time using the link in each issue. If you create an account on the Website, you are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity under your account. We may suspend accounts used in breach of these Terms.

7. Comments

If you post a comment, it must be relevant, respectful and lawful. No harassment, hate speech, spam, self-promotion or personal data of others. You remain responsible for your comments and grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display them on the Website. We may moderate or remove comments that break these rules.

8. Submitting a Campaign

Creators can submit a campaign through our submission form. Submitting a campaign is free and does not guarantee coverage. Our editors decide whether, when and how to cover a campaign, and creators do not review or approve editorial articles before publication.

By submitting a campaign, you confirm that the information and materials you send are accurate and that you have the right to share them. You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use these materials (texts, images, videos, logos) to report on your campaign, on the Website, in our newsletter and on our social media channels.

If you share information under embargo, we will respect the embargo date we agreed to in writing.

9. Sponsored Content

Creators may purchase sponsored content, such as a Campaign Spotlight or a newsletter sponsorship. Sponsored content is offered to businesses for professional purposes only.

  • Order and price. The format, price and publication date are confirmed in writing before any payment.

  • Labeling. Sponsored content is always labeled as sponsored. It contains no editorial verdict, rating or recommendation, and it does not appear in our reviews or buying guides.

  • Accuracy. The creator may check sponsored content for factual accuracy before publication. Final wording remains our decision.

  • No guaranteed results. Sponsored content does not guarantee any editorial review, rating, search engine ranking, traffic, pledges or funding.

  • Our right to decline. We may decline any request for sponsored content. If we decline before publication, any amount paid is refunded in full.

  • Payment and refunds. Payment is due before publication. Once sponsored content is published, it is non-refundable.

  • Campaign problems. If a sponsored campaign later runs into serious problems, we may add a warning to the sponsored content or remove it, as with any article.

Sponsored content remains online for at least [12 months], unless removed under these Terms.

10. Intellectual Property

The Website and its content (articles, design, logos, photos and videos we created) belong to GizmoCrowd or our licensors. Product names, images and trademarks of campaigns we cover belong to their owners and are used to report on those campaigns.

If you believe content on the Website infringes your rights, contact us at michael [at] gizmocrowd [dot] com with the page link and a description of the issue. We will review your request promptly and remove content where appropriate.

11. Third-Party Websites

The Website links to third-party websites, including Kickstarter, Indiegogo and creators' own sites. We don't control these sites and are not responsible for their content, terms or practices.

12. Liability

The Website is provided "as is." We do our best to keep it accurate and available, but we cannot guarantee that it will always be error-free or uninterrupted.

To the extent permitted by law, GizmoCrowd is not liable for losses arising from your decision to back a campaign, from the conduct of creators or crowdfunding platforms, or from third-party websites. For business customers, our total liability relating to sponsored content is limited to the amount paid for it.

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for intentional misconduct or gross negligence, or any other liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, nor affects your mandatory rights as a consumer.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last changed. Significant changes affecting sponsored content will not apply to orders already confirmed.

14. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Bulgaria. Disputes will be heard by the competent courts in Sofia, Bulgaria.

This applies wherever you are located, including outside the European Union. If you are a consumer, it does not take away any protection you have under the mandatory consumer laws of your country of residence. Consumers residing in the European Union may also bring proceedings in the courts of their country of residence.

The Website is accessible worldwide. If you use it from outside Bulgaria, you are responsible for complying with your local laws.
