No Reception Club Rollaway on Kickstarter: The Carry-On Roller That Carries the Car Seat

Two parents, four hands, and a pile of gear that needs six. A suitcase, a diaper bag, the backpack a toddler swore they would carry, and a travel car seat that fits nowhere. Most of it ends up on someone's back before security. The No Reception Club Rollaway is rollaway luggage turned on its side, so the rest of the pile can ride on top of the case instead.
The Rollaway is the third No Reception Club Kickstarter from Gemma and Daniel, the mom-and-dad team behind the brand, after the Getaway Bag and the Hideaway Duffel, the latter named Best Bag for Family Travel by Parents. The No Reception Club Rollaway price on Kickstarter is $325 for the Standard tier.

Quick Verdict
Our verdict: 8.4/10
Who Is It For?
It is for parents who fly with children young enough to need a travel car seat. Those who move their own gear through the airport rather than checking everything get the most from it.
Main Strengths
The wide horizontal base works as a stable trolley for a duffel, a backpack and kid gear, so less of the load sits on your back.
Patent-pending NRC SeatLatch anchors latch an empty car seat to the luggage itself, so it no longer needs a separate carry bag.
The included Cubby organizer splits the main compartment into up to five sections, by person or by day.
A 3.2mm polycarbonate shell and 60mm Hinomoto spinner wheels are specified for the extra weight stacked on top.
No Reception Club says it built the case to the maximum carry-on size most airlines permit, and that it has flown as a carry-on on 19 airlines with the brand and its early testers.
Main Limitations
Fulfillment is scheduled for April 2027, too late for any trip before spring.
The load on top is capped at 25 lbs, and going over it voids the warranty.
No Reception Club describes its durability testing as above industry standards, but publishes no test method or result.
Is the No Reception Club Rollaway Worth Backing?
Back it if you are the parent in the security line with a car seat and more bags than hands. Skip it if your children have outgrown car seats and everyone carries one bag, since a conventional carry-on roller does that job today. The base that doubles as a luggage trolley is the reason to back the No Reception Club Rollaway on Kickstarter.
No Reception Club Rollaway Price on Kickstarter
The No Reception Club Rollaway price on Kickstarter is $325 for the Standard tier, against a $385 MSRP. Standard is the tier to take: it includes one Rollaway and one Cubby, and it is limited to 1,500 units. Families who want a case per parent can take the Standard Companion Pass, two of each for $635, scheduled to ship in May 2027.
For a 40-liter carry-on roller with its organizer, the discount off MSRP is modest, and the Standard Companion Pass saves only $15 over two single pledges. Shipping is charged after the campaign: $20 to $30 within the US, but $75 to $100 to Europe, Asia, Australia and the rest of the world, before taxes, VAT or customs fees. No Reception Club offers no refunds or returns on Kickstarter rewards, so the limited lifetime warranty is the main protection once the case arrives. The Standard tier is $325 on Kickstarter.
What Is the No Reception Club Rollaway and What Problem Does It Solve?
No Reception Club Rollaway: A 40L Hybrid-Shell Carry-On Roller for Parents
The Rollaway is a hybrid-shell carry-on: a rigid polycarbonate back panel paired with a padded softshell front that leaves room for quick-access pockets. The two front pockets have lockable zippers, the larger one hiding a sleeve for an AirTag, and a TSA-approved lock secures the 40-liter main compartment.
It measures 21.5 x 14 x 9 inches (54.5 x 35.5 x 22.5 cm), weighs 7.8 lbs empty, and its handle reaches 37 inches when fully extended. Development took 30 months, with 10 prototypes, four factory visits to Vietnam and feedback from 150 parents along the way.
Why the Upright Suitcase Became a Problem for Parents
The suitcase was never the hard part. A traditional upright carry-on roller is designed to carry one person's clothes. Family travel adds everything else: a diaper bag, a travel crib, a car seat in a drawstring sack. Piled on the narrow top of an upright case, the stack can tip the moment a toddler runs into it.
Now picture the same walk with the duffel and the toddler's backpack riding on the luggage and one hand on the handle. The other hand is free for a child.
No Reception Club Rollaway Key Features and Specs: Stacking, Car Seats, Organization and Build

Horizontal Base and Long Exposed Handle: A Trolley That Still Fits the Overhead Bin
Laying the case on its long side widens the base, and No Reception Club says that makes it less prone to tipping once something substantial goes on top, whereas an upright roller tends to tip over. The horizontal layout also leaves more of the telescopic handle exposed, so a second bag can be stacked against it.
Under the softshell, EVA foam absorbs shocks, and a rigid PE board on the top and sides supports the weight stacked there. The campaign's own example is a Hideaway Duffel riding on top with a toddler's backpack, gear that would otherwise end up in the stroller.
NRC SeatLatch Anchors and Gear Straps: Where the Travel Car Seat Rides
The SeatLatch design builds steel car seat anchor points into the hardshell back panel. An infant seat, a toddler seat or a booster seat latches onto them.
Two extendable gear straps wrap around bulky items and hook around the handle or onto the anchor points, then tuck into a zippered pocket on top when not in use. No Reception Club warns that only empty seats should ever be attached, never with a child inside, and that the Rollaway should never be hooked to a stroller or wagon carrying a child.
The Cubby Organizer: Up to Five Sections and a 17-Inch Laptop Sleeve
The Cubby is a removable organizer sized to fill the main compartment, with snap-on dividers that make two to five sections. A sleeve on top takes a laptop up to 17 inches, behind the padded front panel, so it comes out quickly at the security checkpoint.
At the destination, the Cubby lifts out and lies flat in a drawer, or hangs in a closet with the $7 Hanging Straps add-on. Undo the snaps and it collapses flat, which frees space for laundry on the way home.
3.2mm Polycarbonate and 60mm Hinomoto Wheels: Built for the Extra Load
The 3.2mm hardshell blends 75% virgin and 25% recycled polycarbonate, and No Reception Club rates it thicker than a standard carry-on shell. The softshell is 100% recycled CORDURA re/cor polyester in a 600x1200D weave, Bluesign-approved and weather-resistant, the fabric the brand has used for years on its Hideaway Duffel. All of the fabrics are PFAS-free.
The four 360-degree wheels are Hinomoto Miraclent units with Lisof silent-run tires and metal ball bearings. In the brand's own comparison, standard carry-on wheels measure 50mm, while the Rollaway's 60mm size is typical of checked luggage and chosen for the added load. Each wheel comes off with an Allen wrench if it ever needs replacing.
Should You Back the No Reception Club Rollaway on Kickstarter?
On a family travel day, the Rollaway earns its keep between the curb and the gate. Passports, an iPad and a pack of wipes go in the front pockets for the security line, and the $20 Caddy add-on hangs on the handle with two water bottles for the walk to the gate.
No Reception Club completed its first small batch production run in June 2026. At $325 against a $385 MSRP, with the Standard tier the one to take, the No Reception Club Rollaway is on Kickstarter.
FAQ about the No Reception Club Rollaway on Kickstarter
Can you attach a car seat to the No Reception Club Rollaway?
Yes, an empty travel car seat. The SeatLatch anchors in the back panel hold an infant seat, toddler seat or booster seat. No Reception Club says a child must never sit in a seat attached to the Rollaway.
Does the Rollaway fit airline carry-on limits?
At 21.5 x 14 x 9 inches, it fits the 22 x 14 x 9 inch limit American Airlines lists, and No Reception Club reports flying it as a carry-on on 19 airlines, including Delta. Its 9-inch depth is above Icelandair's 7.8 inches, and its 14-inch height above the 13.8 inches Air France and KLM list.
How much weight can you stack on top of the Rollaway?
Up to 25 lbs can ride on top, and exceeding that voids the warranty. A child should never sit or climb on the case.
Is No Reception Club legit?
No Reception Club ran its first Kickstarter in 2021 for the Getaway Bag and Sidekick, and its second in 2023 for the Hideaway Duffel. Forbes Vetted named the Getaway Bag its Best Travel Diaper Bag.
Should you choose the Rollaway or the No Reception Club Hideaway Duffel?
The Hideaway is a carry-on duffel with shoulder straps, offered as a $235 Kickstarter add-on against a $295 retail price, and you carry it. The Rollaway rolls and takes a car seat. The brand sells the Hideaway as the Rollaway's complement.
What does the Rollaway warranty cover?
A limited lifetime warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship and excessive damage that affects function under normal use, for the reasonable lifespan of the product. It excludes normal wear and tear, excess weight or pressure (over 25 lbs on top included), and stacking heavy objects on the case or sitting, standing or climbing on it.
